    When are classes held?

    Classes are held primarily during Monday-Thursday 8 to 4 p.m.

    When do classes begin?

    Allied Health classes have a specific start date--typically the end of July. All other programs are open entry and starting times are scheduled monthly.

    How do I get financial aid?

    The Pell grant application is the first step in the financial aid process. After those results are obtained, the Skill Center staff can advise potential students regarding other forms of assistance.

    Where are your classes held?

    Medical Assisting and Machining are held at the Skill Center's branch site on the Virginia Highlands Community College.campus. All other programs are offered at the Skill Center's main campus at 848 Thompson Drive Abingdon, Virginia.

    How do I apply?

    Applications may be submitted through our website or completed in person at our Skill Center offices.
